Apparently a Reddit user TheRealFikiDoctor has managed to obtain the synopsis of the opening episode and shared it on the internet.
The show that made it to the list for numerous years was not in the top 10 list according to a Fortune January 2019 report. Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3 has reportedly leaked online in some parts of the world. The show, however, has improved its reputation of being most pirated. A mistake by HBO Spain cost heavily to the makers as Beyond the Wall was made live four days before its broadcast and the same was downloaded and watched by many. Episode 4 (The Spoils of War) and Episode 6 (Beyond The Wall) were available on internet before its telecast. The rumoured leak is nothing if compared to last season's leak of entire plot of Season 7 on Reddit before the show's premiere. Right after Season 7 of Game of Thrones wrapped up, there was a purported leak of the scripts of Season 8, but the same couldn't be verified. (That is, for many shows-not so much Game of Thrones, which despite the pervasive leaks, has continued to break its own ratings records season after season.) The caution is understandable, as demonstrated by incidents like the HBO hack in 2017, which reportedly saw drafts of Game of Thrones scripts leaked.Although the video has been blocked, and HBO is yet to confirm the veracity of the leaked spoilers, it will be a challenge for the makers to stop spoilers from making way to the internet. Nonetheless, Variety notes, plot details inevitably made their way onto social media, for those spoiler-happy fans who prefer reading to waiting. One fan quickly uploaded the file to Openload, though it was swiftly removed. This week’s culprit, according to Variety, was Amazon Prime-specifically in Germany, where fans were granted access to Season 8’s second episode ahead of its scheduled release. Piracy has, unsurprisingly, also continued to be popular among cord-cutting fans-but if the premium cabler’s past comments are any indication, that particular issue is not as big of a concern. In both cases, Season 8’s introductory episodes have leaked hours ahead of their premiere times, with plot details immediately spilling across social media.
The premium cabler has long tried to prevent plot details from leaking ahead of the show’s airing, but the struggle remains futile-as proven by the last two weeks.
